Pigeons in my sketchbook

Still thinking about which animals to draw for the next exercise, I went to Trafalgar Square to try to sketch some pigeons.

This is what they looked like...

And this is what my sketches looked like...

 Again, they worked better to show what the birds were like when I was looser and faster and less trying to impose my will on the blasted moving things.

I found using a thin sharpie was good, partly I think because there was an obvious impossibility of making use of the accurate sharpness of them, so I got scribbly.
